Tour between Marche and San Marino

The first day is expected to pick up the car rented in Ancona and departure for Urbino. Check-in and hotel accommodation and free time for lunch. In the early afternoon there will be a guided tour of the Doge’s Palace and the historic center of the city: Between the Metauro valley and the Foglia valley, in the Marche hills overlooking the Adriatic Sea, The city of Urbino is located, and still retains its artistic charm and architectural heritage. Adorned with sandstone buildings and surrounded by a long brick wall, Urbino is a city of immense historical and artistic wealth. From a simple village it became the "cradle of the Renaissance" and, still today, walking through its historic center you can breathe the air of the fifteenth century. The Ducal Palace, one of the most beautiful works of the Renaissance, contains refinement, love for culture and architectural perfection. Continuation to Pesaro, accommodation and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by car to Recanati, where there will be a free visit of the city and the places that characterize it. Defined "the city of infinity" is the birthplace of the poet Giacomo Leopardi: here everything speaks of him and his poetic inspiration: the palace where he was born that retains his "sweaty papers", the house of Silvia, the hill of Infinity. The beautiful views of the countryside, the elegance of the village, the remarkable works of art that are kept there make Recanati an essential stop on every trip to the Marche. Free lunch and in the afternoon transfer to Macerata where you can make a free visit of the city: walking you can admire palaces and churches, mannerist and baroque, which revolve around Piazza della Libertà. You can visit the neoclassical Sferisterio, the Civic Tower with the astronomical clock, the Loggia dei Mercanti, and Palazzo Ricci with its art collection dedicated to the twentieth century. Also on the square, next to the church of S. Paolo, the vault rises to announce the entrance of the University, one of the oldest in the world. At the end of the visit return to the hotel for the night.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by car to the Frasassi Caves and meeting with the guide. The Frasassi Caves are underground karst caves that are located within the Regional Natural Park of Gola della Rossa and Frasassi in the municipality of Genga, in the province of Ancona. Inside the karst cavities you can admire the natural sculptures formed by layers of limestone over 190 million years thanks to the work of water and rock. After a walk of about 10/15 minutes you can reach the Valadier Temple, one of the most evocative sanctuaries of the Marche, immersed in the rocky belly of the Red Gorge and Frasassi. Later it is planned to transfer to Fabriano for free lunch and free visit of the city: UNESCO has included it in the list of Creative Cities, because it has been able to make creativity and art the beating heart of its economic development. The old town is a gem you don’t expect. Do not miss the Piazza del Comune, with the Sturinalto fountain, the Palazzo del Podestà, the Pinacoteca Molajoli, the Teatro Gentile and the Multimedia Library. Alternatively, you can participate in the optional excursion that includes a guided tour of the city and the Paper Museum. Return to the hotel overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel you will check out and depart to San Marino for the free visit or, facultiously, for a guided tour walking to the First and Second Tower. Free lunch, return of the rental car and end of services.
