ITINERARY
DAY 01: CUSCO – KM 104 – WIÑAYHUAYNA – AGUAS CALIENTES
Early departure for the train station. From Km 104, we will begin the Inca Trail hike, visiting Chachabamba and ascending to Wiñayhuayna, the most impressive archaeological site on the trail. After a break and a boxed lunch, we will continue to the Sun Gate ( Inti Punku ), with panoramic views and sunset at Machu Picchu (Circuit 1). Finally, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes for dinner and rest at the hotel.
Hiking time: 6 hours.
DAY 02: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO
Breakfast at the hotel. We will leave our excess luggage and take the bus to Machu Picchu, arriving at 6:00 am. We will do Circuit 3, exploring the citadel with a 2.5-hour guided tour, discovering Inca history and culture. Return by bus or on foot to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will collect our luggage and have lunch before boarding the train back to Cusco.

NOTE
The Inca Trail closes every February for maintenance, conservation and protection of the environment due to the heavy rains of the season

Personal equipment : Backpack with rain cover, face masks, antibacterial gel, clothing for warm and cold weather, appropriate footwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, flashlight, medicines, personal documents, snacks, and extra money.
