Day 2nd Athens – Sightseeing Acropolis – Acropolis Museum (on SIC basis) - Rhodes

Breakfast and get ready for the most amazing city tour. From the Acropolis to Omonia Square, with the half-day sightseeing and Acropolis Museum tour, you'll see all the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens on this comprehensive morning tour. Hear insightful commentary from your guide and pass top Athens attractions including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Greek Parliament building, and the Presidential Palace. Offering a perfect overview of the modern city, this guided half-day tour will help you get your bearings if this is your first visit to Athens. We depart for a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games occurred in 1896. It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. You will then pass the Athens Trilogy, including the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Day 4th Rhodes – OPTIONAL day trip to Simi – Rhodes

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the port where you will board the boat for Simi. The Venetian Island is rightly considered one of the most beautiful of the Dodecanese with its unique architecture. Free time in Simi to observe the traditional houses built next to each other on the steep hillsides. Walking through the alleys and visiting the sponge shops is something that should not be missing from your experience. Time for lunch and coffee. Back to the boat and next stop is the port of Panormitis with the Holy Monastery of Taxiarchis of Panormitis with its wonderful frescoes, the library, the folklore museum inside, and an impressive wood-carved iconostasis. Famous for its miracles, Panormitis is a major pilgrimage site. The monastery has existed since the 15th century and the icon of the Archangel Michael (the patron saint) is considered miraculous. Breakfast. Departure from the hotel to the port of Kamiros Skala. From there you will take the boat to the magical island of Chalkis and visit one of the smallest and most beautiful islands of the Dodecanese. After 35 minutes on the boat, you will reach Halki. Halki is the first Eco Island in Greece. The simplicity and authenticity of the landscape contributed to the pivotal choice of Halki to join this innovative sustainable development program.
