DAY 01: AYACUCHO IN | CITY TOUR

Reception at the airport or station and transfer to the chosen hotel. Free morning to rest.

15:30 hrs The walking tour begins in the Plaza Mayor, where you can see the portals on the four sides of the main square, colonial mansions and the cathedral, we will visit one of the most important colonial houses in the historic center Bosa and Solís. Then the vehicle will pick us up to continue the tour, we will observe the Temple and Convent of Santa Teresa, where you will learn about the architectural richness of its facade, next to it there is an area where sweets made by the nuns in the convent are offered, then we will visit the Acuchimay viewpoint, from where you can contemplate the city, to conclude we will visit the artisan neighborhood of Santa Ana, where we will visit the stone carving masters of Huamanga, textiles.

The tour will end at 6:30 pm in the main square (in case there is a celebration in the main square, the disembarkation will be one block from the main square).

DAY 02: FULL DAY INDEPENDENCE | WARI - PAMPA DE QUINUA

Breakfast.

*9:10 am. The assigned person will pick you up at the hotel and walk you to the vehicle (tourist vehicles are parked on the second block of the main square).

09:30 hrs We will begin our trip to Wari, the ancient capital of the Andean empire. Within the archaeological complex of Wari, we will explore places of great historical relevance, such as the Stone of Vaticinio, the majestic Templo Mayor, the enigmatic Mausoleum and the imposing Funerary Chambers. Our next stop will take us to Quinua, a charming traditional town famous for its outstanding pottery. Its streets, still cobbled, the houses are adorned with tiled roofs. In Quinua, we will have the honor of meeting the most skilled master potters. (Lunch will be provided by the passengers in Quinua).

Afterwards, we will head to the historic Pampa de Ayacucho, the place where the independence of Peru and all of Latin America was sealed. To reach the pampa, we will take a short walk of approximately 15 minutes uphill. This site will allow us to connect with the deep history of the region.

DAY 03: MILLPU

Breakfast.

*7:40 am. The assigned person will pick you up at the hotel and walk with you to the vehicle (tourist vehicles are parked on the second block of the main square)

We will visit the hidden gem of Ayacucho, the natural wonder of turquoise and crystalline waters. You will also enjoy small waterfalls where a walk of approximately 2 hours awaits you, to be able to appreciate the pools from the top. We will also arrive at the spring known as “Millpu” to later appreciate the crystal-clear waters. During the journey, we will appreciate the flora and fauna of the area, as well as discover different passages during the tour.

Note: Due to a municipal ordinance, bathing in the pools is prohibited. However, we allow you to approach the shore so you can take pictures.

DAY 04: VILCASHUAMAN

Breakfast.

*7:40 am. The assigned person will pick you up at the hotel and walk with you to the vehicle (tourist vehicles are parked in the second block of the main square)

08:00 hrs. Our excursion will depart towards Vilcashuamán following the steps of the Inca Pachacútec. We will cross the Puna at an altitude of approximately 4300 meters above sea level until we reach Condorccocha, where we will make a brief optional stop for breakfast and so you can use the toilets.

During the excursion, we will visit the mini puya forest of Raimondi de Manallasaq, also known as Titanka. Then, we will arrive at Laguna Pumacocha, a beautiful lagoon that is home to Andean birds. In its surroundings, we will explore the archaeological complex of Intihuatana, which has impressive constructions such as the Torreón, the Baños del Inca and the Acllawasi. Finally, we will arrive at the Inca citadel of Vilcas Huamán, which was the administrative center of the Inca empire. Here, you will have the opportunity to see spectacular Inca architectural monuments, which stand out for their grandeur, such as the Plaza, the Temple of the Sun and the Moon, the Inca Palace, the Portada del Sol and the colossal Ushno.

DAY 05: AYACUCHO OUT

Breakfast. Free day to carry out activities at the passenger's expense. Appropriate time, transfer to the station or airport.
